Help build the global leader in power module packaging.

The company is founded in 2020 by 4 semiconductor tooling veterans in the heartland of the Dutch semiconductor back-end technology, the eastern part of the Netherlands. Powertrim was set-up to fill the equipment gap in the growing market for power module packaging. As the global energy transition is in full swing, electrification of the automotive drivetrains, new industrial power applications and the massive growth of renewable energy solutions accelerate the need for power modules. Based on over 40 years of experience in semiconductor trim and form toolmaking and a vast experience in machine building, the founders of Powertrim have a head-start in this new market. Powertrim has the ambition to become the global #1 OEM in high performance handling, assembly and testing technology for automated power electronics manufacturing. Recently, former parent company TSD was added to the group, backed by investor ESquare Capital Partners.

 

Expand global sales and build an installed base and network of satisfied customers

Based on your proven competence of consultative selling of capital investment goods in global high-tech equipment markets, you drive expansion of Powertrim Technologies. After installing the first advanced power module packaging systems, it is time now to accelerate both indirect and direct sales. As a well-structured and technically educated professional, you are taking sales to the next level by winning customers based on deep understanding of their power module roadmap and supporting them to implement the best packaging process. You are a mature sparring partner for our development team as well as your marketing and customer lifecycle support colleagues. You combine the intrinsic drive to close the deal with authentic interest to build long lasting relationships.

Your tasks & responsibilities are broad

• Own Powertrim’s sales funnel and quality customer data in our CRM system (HubSpot)

• Demonstrate that structured sales leads to predictable results: growing revenue according to our 5-year plan with a healthy gross margin

• Rationalize, expand and maintain a global network of sales partners

• Develop to become a valued expert on power module packaging and handling for (potential) customers and suppliers of adjacent semicon backend manufacturing technologies

• Build, manage and inspire a small sales team delivering on our module packaging leadership promise while staying frugal

The Sales Director reports to the CEO

Relevant requirements regarding knowledge and experience

Education

• Bachelor or Master in a technical field (business innovation, mechanical engineering or comparable)

Experience/skills

• Strong sales professional with at least 7-10 years of experience successfully (consultative) selling capital investment goods in an industrial, preferably high tech or/and machine-building or/and automotive environment

• Demonstrable success in opportunity scouting, acquisition, closing deals and managing long-term customer relationships with follow-on sales, preferably dealing with corporate clients

• Semiconductor industry experience is considered an advantage

• Great communicator in English, both verbally and in writing

• Experience with sales in China is highly recommended as this will be our largest market

• Natural tendency to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Hands-on and confident in producing and presenting work

• Digital proficiency

Availability

This is a full-time job (40 hours/week) partially at our company location in ‘s-Heerenberg. Travel (25-30%) will be a logical part of your job, since relationships cannot be built completely remote and we exhibit at selected tradeshows globally. Global citizens are also actively encouraged to apply if they are based in North America or South-East Asia.

Offer

We offer a competitive package that is related to the candidate’s experience, compensation will be partially result based. Other benefits for this position are:

  • Salary range between € 7.000 - € 9.250 gross per month, depending on relevant work experience

  • 10 - 20% performance bonus depending on work experience

  • Mobility allowance of € 500 gross + mileage allowance of € 0.23 (maximum tax free)

  • Expense allowance based on costs incurred (and expensed through app)

  • Pension contribution

  • 27 vacation days with a full-time contract (40 hours/week)
